Write for {You Shape} It
{You Shape} It is about real developers building software in the real world. We are looking for developers to write articles for three series:
- Practical Programming
- MAX(output)
- Devstory
If you’re an in-the-trenches developer, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
In exchange for writing a 1200 to 2000 word article, we’ll buy you an Xbox 360. Sweet deal, right?
The Deets:
Here’s what you do: write a simple outline and a pitch for an article (one paragraph). Then send an email with the following info to :
- Your name and contact info
- The series for which your article would be most appropriate
- Your proposed outline and pitch paragraph
- If possible a sample of your writing (a blog post, a college essay, or whatever you have kicking around)
We will review all proposals and contact you by email.
The Series:
Practical Programming is a code-focused series. Articles in this series should deal with current technologies. We are looking for "how-to" and "did-you-know" topics. Previous articles in this series can be found at https://devshaped.com/category/practical-programming.
MAX(output) is all about developer productivity. Great topics for this series include tips & tricks, process/habit improvement, and great tools. Previous articles in this series can be found at https://devshaped.com/category/maxoutput.
Devstory is about developer perspectives on the history and future of computing.
